Missing a number of players from the previous week's victory over Naomh Mhuire, Carn Seniors got off to a bad start losing Gerard Doherty(K) in the first 10 minutes after a clash of heads with Ollie McConalogue and Carndonagh never really recovered after this loss. Best for Carn were Shane Kelly, Seamus McLaughlin(JM) and John Gibbons.

The first victory of the season, a good performance in a one-sided match Carn failed to take advantage of their superiority and it should have been more comfortable with Carndonagh missing a penalty. The scores at halftime were 1-07 to 1-06 in favour of Carn and the second half was all one-way traffic a fact that was not reflected on the score board. Best for Carn were Emmet Doherty, Patrick Nelson and John Gibbons.
