Carndonagh 1-11 Buncrana 1-07 (Match Report by Vincent Lynn)
This was a gritty tenacious performance by a Carn team which had something to prove against their rivals Buncrana. Despite giving away a goal in the first minute Carn came powering back. Some excellent scores were taken by Donncha Galagher, Diarmuid Foley and Dermot Skinnader from Gortnacool. Martin McLaughlin(JM) scored an opportunistic goal just before half time. The two Doherty brothers dominated midfield throughout the game.
Carndonagh can take great courage in the depth of under age talent available. Players like Niall McGuinness, Shane Kelly and Patrick Nelson can hold their own in any company. However all players contributed and can now look forward to a quarter final fixture against Milford in a couple of weeks time now.
