Carndonagh 1-10 Milford 0-08

A very commited Carndonagh performance, the football was direct and the scores well taken. With the Carndonagh forwards moving well and taking up good positions the score at halftime was 1-05 to 0-04 but it should have been more and would have been for two excellent saves from the Milford goalkeeper and some bad misses in good positions. Carndonagh were dominant in the first half and thoroughly deserved their lead. The defence were working the ball out well and the forwards benefited from better service. Milford came more into the game in the second half and were themselves guilty of some bad misses but Carndonagh were also culprits failing to take scores when in good positions and this meant that Milford were always just a score from getting back into the game. Best for Carndonagh were Kevin Doherty, who had one of his best game for a long while, Gerard Crossan, whose freetaking was quite magnificent, Ollie McConelogue and Micheal McLaughlin.

Carndonagh 1-07 Milford 2-06

This was a game the Reserves deserved to win and they were unlucky not to do so, some players put in their best performances of the season and this is encouraging. This was a relatively young team, apart from a few old heads and there are more players to come back but these players as they keep training will be good enough to retain their places. Best for Carndonagh were Charlie Doherty, Niall McGuinness, Diarmuid Foley, Dermot Skinnader and Martin McLaughlin.
