Milford Inn Division 3

Carndonagh 0-10 Glenswilly 1-07

Another disappointing result, it could and should have been better except for some poor shooting. The back six did themselves credit and were good closing down and harrying the Glenswilly forwards and not giving away any stupid frees. But the forwards were an altogether different matter, rushed shooting, sloppy passes and going for goal when points were there for the taking and this in the end proved costly. This result has down neither side any good in terms of the league and with 4 games remaining it is important that a few more points are gained to save against relegation, this team should be challenging for Division 2 not fighting against relegation but the key term is "should" and all the players need to get their act together as it appears some have just coasted through this season without breaking sweat. In the end too many wides or shots dropping short into the keepers hands, some players can't be faulted for effort or commitment but the same can't be said for everyone.

Division 3 Reserve

Carndonagh 2-05 Glenswilly 0-04

A good performance in the first half by Carn set them up for victory as they held Glenswilly in their own half for long periods and took some very good scores. Carn led 2-03 to 0-02 at half time. The second half started comfortably enough for Carn but things became harder as Barry McElhinney was sent to the line and Carn were reduced to 14 men. Glenswilly began to pin Carn back but in the end didn't have any real attacking treat to put their 1 man advantage to any sort of good use.
