This was a poor performance from Carn, who never got on top at midfield or up front. The forwards didn't compete for the ball as much as they needed to and when they did have the ball there was a reluctance to shoot. This cost Carn as with 15 minutes to go they consistently went for goals when a point or two would have brought us level. Glenswilly just came down and scored two goals in quick succession and killed the game off.

This is a young team and they were unlucky not to win and this was down to, in main, one of the worst refereeing displays ever as frees were being given for nothing while it seemed that for Carndonagh to get a free required a Carn player to be decapitated first.
