Moville 0-03 Carndonagh 5-11

Carn produced one of their best performances of the season to win this game quite comfortably. After a very sluggish first half in which the fullforward line was the only line showing real determination and spirit. This was fortunate though as Carn scored 3-04 to Moville's 0-03. The second half saw Moville make a very positive start but they faded quickly and the half was spent with Carn defence breaking down the Moville attack and setting up their forwards on the counter. One sweeping move from left corner back, went through midfield and was finished by Christopher McLaughlin running through to take the pass from the right corner forward. Carn created some excellent scoring opportunities and took some beautiful scores in particular points by Dominic Doherty and Jerry Simpson and an opportunistic goal from Joe McLaughlin. A great team performance in particular the defence who held Moville scoreless in the second half!
