Carndonagh 5-06 Robert Emmets 5-05

Carn were missing some key players and were slightly lucky. This match was played in wet conditions in Buncrana. Robert Emmets had the better of the first half and could have went in 8 points up but Carn scored a goal in the final minute of the first half from a penalty, to leave 5 points between the teams. Some changes were made at halftime and Carn began to dominate. The wide area of the Buncrana pitch suiting the forwards and so resulting in so many goals. Carn were a little ring rusty after such a long lay off, 6 weeks since their last match. Best for Carn were Declan O'Donnell (great penalty save), Mark Canny, Dominic Doherty and Michael Nelson, while at midfield Dermot and Jerry Simpson gave a great second half performance.
