Under 12 "A": Carndonagh 3-10 Buncrana 5-02

An excellent first half by Carndonagh was marred by some very poor shooting which meant that they only led by 10 points at half time, 2-05 to 0-01 when it should have been more. Buncrana came more in to the game in the second half with their back line winning a lot of possession and feeding their forwards. Carndonagh created a lot of problems by trying to run with the ball when it should have been passed and this gave Buncrana hope. Then some very soft goals made for a tight finish but the slippery conditions must be taken in to consideration. Better finishing could have made this a comfortable victory and hopefully the shooting will never be as bad again. The defence was very good all night, in particular Patrick Logue, Micheal McCallion, Sean Doherty and Fergal Doherty.

Under 12 "B": Carndonagh 4-10 Buncrana 2-08

A very tight competitive match, Carndonagh fought all the way to a deserved victory. A young team, they play good football and are very good to watch. Best for Carn were Ronan O'Connor, Eanna Newton, Martin McKinney and Fergal Doherty, but everyone played well and a mention must go to Nathan Hegarty who went from goalkeeper to Fullforward and got a goal. Iarlath McLaughlin and Paul McLaughlin both got injuries during the game and we hope they are not too serious.
